The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government attaches great importance to women’s contribution to society and the work of supporting women. Many women are playing leading roles in Hong Kong. They are pivotal in fostering community and economic development.
To promote women’s workplace development, the Chief Executive announced in the 2024 Policy Address that the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau would launch the “She Inspires” Mentorship Programme (the Programme). Under the Programme, local female university students will be matched with women leader mentors, and provided with relevant training and activities in order to nurture the future strength that “hold up half the sky”.
The Programme aims to empower young female university students to build the necessary skills, confidence, and network to thrive in their future career. In view of the overwhelming response of the inaugural cohort which was kicked off in July 2025, the 2025 Policy Address has announced that the mentee quota will be increased by 50% to 120 in the second cohort, enabling more female university students to benefit from the Programme.
For local female university students who are interested in applying, please refer to the Application Guidelines page for details.
